Four electrolytic capacitors of 470 x F assembled in series and parallel combination fitted on a transparent base of size 100 x 90 x 65mm approx. with a provision to use each capacitor individually via 4mm safety sockets fitted across each capacitor. It is used in conjunction with a pair of coils and an AC source to provide a moving magntic field and with a magnetic coil to introduce a 90 Degree phase shift between current and potential difference when setting up investigation into the behaviour of rotating magnetic fields.
